-putting on new siding and painting the siding
-adding shakes to the exterior peeks
-reorganized the kitchen layout
-changed the staircase to the second floor of the house
-painted all of the interior walls, ceilings, and cabinets
-updated both bathrooms with new showers, tubs, vanities, and paint
The hope was that someone would buy the house and either keep it as a cottage, or tear it down to rebuild a year-round home. Unfortunately the cottage market really took a hit in the Okoboji area. Fortunately, the condo was completed and we had an offer too good to refuse. So, we began packing and began our life in the cottage. But, before we get to that, here are some pictures of the old, old, Maywood from when Michael first bought it and before any remodeling began.
